T (for S-n-T),

This just flat out cracked me up!!!  Probably only because I think I share the same fears!!  Not ONE concern AT ALL about the number of activities for all us old married folk, but rather because we fear none of our new fun "solo" freinds will be there to enjoy it with!!  And what if we flat out forget about some of these activities that have been all planned out for us, cuz let's face it...the t.v. remote can be a powerful thing and I for one have never been able to "JUST SAY NO" to it.  I am very, very fearful I may continue on this path I am on of relentless watchings of Will and Grace reruns and don't even get me started on The L Word.  Who will save us from this path of vacation destruction.  SURELY NOT OUR FELLOW MARRIED FRIENDS!!  As they may have the Bingo vice. Which by the way I am proud to say I have been sober from for a full year now.  (I pat myself on the back)  So I too shall join you in disguise Cool and jump right on in there.  Give us back our Solos!!!!

Good Saturday to the Ladies of Olivia!!!

I have not been able to post like I would normally, but this title caught my attention while reading some mail and I wanted to add 2 cents in-if I may.

As one who has gone on trips when I was in a long relationship and then after that 13 year relationship ended-I waited a while and then went on a trip as a  Solo.  I had a BLAST on every single trip I have been on.  In my opinion there is no discrimination in any form when on vacation with Olivia-in fact they go out of their way to make your trips as enjoyable as possible and events available to ALL.

Whether I was with my ex or solo there was always a good time to be had-if you engage yourself.  Everything that has been said in the other post that I read about activities is true.  You can really do anything or nothing.  It is your vacation and you can make it the best ever.  I have had occasions when I just wanted to be alone and walk the sea shore both alone, with my ex or with a couple I met on the trip or friends I had made in these wonderful blogs, so do anything, everything, or nothing, but make it YOUR TRIP.  I feel sure we will all have a wonderful time and personally I can not wait to meet new friends from all over and broaden my circle of friends in the Olivia world of travel.

Looking forward to meeting and having a great time with EVERYONE.

Until then.....Katch  Big SmileCoolParadise

S-N-T,

this must be your first trip with Olivia, this will be mine and Michelle's 7th all to resorts.  Let me assure you that you will not have any less fun than the solo's do.  Why they set up and promote "solo activites" is because they do not want anyone that is going by themselves to feel that they will be by themselves for the whole week.  Their activities are the same as those for the couples they just do them as a group.  We went to Puerta Vallarta last November with 10 of our friends - 4 couples, 2 solos, and ourselves.  We are friends that live in the same hometown and hang out together all the time.  The solos were glad that Olivia set up times where they could just hang out with the solos and not feel like they were a 3rd wheel.  We were also glad for it also because them being our friends we would have felt bad if we did not want to hang out and they were left to be by themselves.  Get ready to have a great time!!  See everyone soon!!

I keep reading about the special "solo" activities Olivia sets up, but I haven't seen anything about couple's activities.  Do they just pile on a bus with the singles and drive off to fun spots while leaving us sitting in our rooms?  I'm not even sure they'll let us see a comedian if we appear to be happy and are standing too close to someone else.  I'm telling you now, if I see one activity that looks like more fun then they have set up for us couples, I am throwing us right into the singles group.  I'll be disguised in sunglasses Cool if need be.  I will NOT be discriminated against and left out of the fun!!

Just 4 more weeks til this party kicks off....Party!!!  T for S n T
