I love how many "first timers" there is on this trip?!!!!  This will be me & Monique's 2nd trip w/Olivia...we seriously can't imagine traveling any other way...you all will love it!!!!!   Can't wait to meet all of you!!!!

Hi Sarah, I agree, the weather will be good.  I am so glad the islands and the club med didn't get hit hard.  I have been in Alaska to Olivia and according the captain we had the best weather ever in Sitka and Ketchikan, no rain, just blue skies and a few clouds.  So looking forward to relaxing and of course snorkeling, I hope every day.  Look forward to meeting you both,

This is our 5th Olivia trip and our first to a Club Med.  We are looking forward to this trip and I know the weather will be good.  I've never had a trip with Olivia when the sun doesn't follow up into port.  I think the goddess watches over Olivia trips!

It will be a great experience, judging from our past trips.

I think this will be our 7th Olivia trip, first club med.  I don't like the looks of the weather.  Ike is hitting the islands directly as I write this. Whatever happens, I know Olivia will keep us informed.  Whatever happens I'm glad I have travel insurance. Karen and Barb

I hope the weather holds out as well. It seems as though three hurricanes in a row will hit Turks and Caicos.  I hope there is a hotel left to visit in Nov. I have to say I did not realize that hurricane season goes till Nov 30.  I saw footage on the TV and the island looked flooded today. I hope we are kept informed as to the condition of the hotel prior to our scheduled holiday.  I remember it took years to rebuild St. Matreen when I was in the US virgin Island some 20 years ago following a hurricane.  I hope Turks and Caicos can survive the storms!

If you go on tripadvisor.com and type in club med turks and caicos you will see other travellers' photos of the resort and the beach.  The beach looks unbelievable!  Just a ripple at the shore.  I hope the weather cooperates with us for both weeks and we will all for sure have a great time.  We've never been to Turks but have gone on many Olivia resort trips in the past.  The food is good and the entertainment the best.  See you all there in November!

Hello!

This will be our 4 resort with Olivia. The resort is located on Grace Bay. At some of the Club Meds they take you out on a boat to snorkel, others you can snorkel from shore. These options are included in your fee. At some Club Meds they offer additional excursions that may include a catamaran ride and island lunch with snorkeling. We have done jet ski/snorkel, jet boat/snorkel etc. excursions. Just depends on what they offer. You will get a list of excursions 30 days prior.

I can say I have not tired of the buffet. Even tho it is pretty much the same at every Club Med. There are many traditional selections for breakfast-eggs (just about every way they come prepared) meats, french toast, pancakes, cereal, fruit.....you get the point. A pretty diverse lunch selection. They do mix it up for dinner. Might be Italian night one evening Mexican the next. But they always have the core foods available too.

We have never had any trouble getting a reservation at any of the theme restaurants. And if it's your first time then you have to try it!

We live in NJ and are taking a flight out of NY (JFK) to avoid a stop. We are returning through Miami and back to Laugardia in NY. Lucky for us, we live only a few minutes from the GW Bridge.

 The snorking, do you have to take a boat to get to Grace bay?  Is there any snorking at the beach by the resort?

 Since you were at this hotel before, how about some info. Tell me a little about the restaurants. I hear it is one buffet and a reservation needed sit down.  Is it difficult to get reservations for the sit down meal? How is the food?  Does the buffet get old?  Did you travel away from Club Med for any reason (i.e., dinner, shopping, excursions)? Any tips would be helpful.

Hello Randi,

You are going to love the Oliva experience. You are especially going to love Turks and Caicos.  Lisa and I have been there once before and it is great. There is great snorkeling especially in Grace bay.  Many turtles.

Lisa and I are going both weeks with Olivia we enjoyed our last trip to the Turks so much and we have really enjoyed every trip with Olivia.

I have always wanted to go on an Olivia trip, but the dates never worked for me until this trip came along.  Mickey and I are signed up to go to Turks for Part 2.  Any suggestions for us newbies to Olivia and Club Med?  We like to snorkel and are interested in checking out the boat excursions.  Maybe a ride on a jet ski.  Mostly looking for R & R.

 Looking foward to be in a club with all lesbians.  It will be freeing!
